Hello,
Host: XP Sp1, USB-Wlan-Stick
VirtualBox 1.62, Guest XP

After booting Hostsystem Internet is well connected.
After starting VirtualBox the Hostsystem has no Internet contact.
The Wlan-Utillity shows the same values as befor,
status shows well associated to the router.

I have to remove und plug in the Wlanstick again to get
internet access.

After starting Guest System, no internet access again
I have to remove und plug in the Wlanstick again to get
internet access.

in between I have tried another Wlan-Stick and don't got all this problems.
The difference, this Stick doesn't use the AEGIS Protokoll.
AEGIS Protokoll v3.4.5.0

any hints?

Hello,

It's nice to journalise here.

AEGIS it's not the problem.
I changed hostsystem to XP SP3
XP SP3, Wlan-Stick Realtek RTL 8187B, protocol just TCP/IP
and XP SP3 internal Network tools

VirtualBox Network and USB disabled

it's funny but as soon as VirtualBox is started, internet access is blocked
without any comment.
while download the panel is shown still waiting for data, Networkpanel shows well connected to router, IP, DNS, DHCP all value as before.

I have to replug in Wlanstick to get internet access again.
Now at XP SP3 I can also use the repair button at Network panel to get internet acces back. I get the Message i'connection could'nt be repaired' but however after that it works. It doesn't work at XP SP1.

PS. VirtualBox 2.0.2 doesn't run at all, 1.6.6 has the same effect, eccept I have to use Guestadditions 1.6.2 to have shared Folder visible.
NB Pentium III, USB 1.0

and now?

Hello,

yes, problem solved.
I bought a new Wlanstick.

Although it uses RTL8187 (not RTL8187B) driver it works very well.
