I downloaded the latest version of DSL ISO from the damnsmalllinux.org website. I am running Virtualbox 2.0.2. onpatches windows XP with latest patches

I created an instance with 512 MB memory and 32 MB video memory. I enabled USB and USB 2.0 options as well as chosing DSL ISO from my desktop as my CD ROM drive.

I started my instance, but as soon as it passes the "press f12 to select boot device" screen I am getting

FATAL: No bootable medium found ! System halted

message. I am sure I am not doing something right or missing something but don't know what. Can anyone help ?

Please try a redownload of the ISO. It appears that it isn't bootable. You can test if it actually works by putting in a normal bootable cd in the drive and mount your Host drive. You can also download a different distro and see if that boots.
