I installed the version 6.1.14 of VirtualBox on my Macbook 12" with Big Sur onboard and I have the kernel driver issue.

NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)

Big Sur isn't officially released yet, so it isn't technically supported yet. The devs are no doubt working to have Virtualbox eventually supported when Big Sur goes official, but they don't try to officially support betas.

Perhaps someone in the OSX Pre-releases forum has faced this too?
