[Solved] Failed to open VM at all

Post by ehjay »

[Explanation added by mod] User posted in an old topic in which the original OP had a corrupted VirtualBox.xml in the "\users\.VirtualBox" folder. Reinstalling VirtualBox will not delete VirtualBox.xml, so the recommendation was to delete the .VirtualBox folder and allow VirtualBox to recreate it, though the user would have to register all VMs again.

how do i delete the xml file

I split your post off the topic you added to, because you need to explain more about your problem, since deleting a file is fundamental computer usage and is beyond this forum's responsibility to explain.

Please see Minimum Info Needed for Assistance and explain your problem clearly.

If you don't speak English well, please use your native language and we can use a translating website.

Also explain why you want to do this, because the problem being discussed in the original topic was almost unique.
