Hi All,
I am using VB 6,1 and installed the latest Mint. My host machine (at work) is W10 Pro (16GB of RAM and 8 cores). I constantly get a "download failed - check your internet connection" with a hash sum mismatch on the guest VM. I installed the same Mint on my personal laptop (W10 Home, 8GB RAM and 4 cores) and never had any errors. I moved the VM I created on my laptop to my W10 Pro and I get the download failed error.
I thought maybe something is blocked at the router level at work but the MINT on my laptop works fine when I bring it to work.
What is the solution here?
Thanks,
Jody

Re: Hash Sum Mismatch
Please right-click the guest in the main Virtualbox window's guest list, choose Show Log.
Search the far left tab's log for this text:
Attempting fall back to NEM
If you find it, Hyper-V is enabled and needs to be disabled. See HMR3Init: Attempting fall back to NEM (Hyper-V is active). (The new test builds might have a fix for this problem. If you try a test build and it works, report here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=90853, and save the installer file.)
If you don't find that text, save the far left tab's log, zip the log file, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.

Before trying your suggestion I had to reinstall windows (i had a few glitchy issues with windows in general). The BIOS was using Legacy and not UEFI. After changing to UEFI and reinstalling everything, MINT was working fine and installed properly on the first shot (under Legacy I tried at least 10 times before it installed).

Re: Hash Sum Mismatch
I am not certain why or if a change in ost BIOS would influence the guests, except to influence whether Hyper-V was on. If your guest's vbox.log no longer has the bolded search words above, then Hyper-V is no longer interfering.
