How do I resolve this? I read about similar cases online and with those cases all you had to do was discard the saved state but with this case there is no saved state to begin with because the machine was turned off, not saved. Also my log folder is empty! The VM session was closed before any attempt to power it on.
Result Code:
E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component:
SessionMachine
Interface:

I used the machine as I normally would, powered the machine off after use, tried to turn it back on and I keep getting this error message:

Try it one more time, please.stan here wrote:Also my log folder is empty!
Start the guest from full power off, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the guest from within the guest OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the guest with the Power Off option set.
Please right-click the guest in the main Virtualbox window's guest list, choose Show Log. Save the far left tab's log, zip the log file, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.
Also, zip and post the VboxSVC.log found in the folder "C:\Users\{you}\.Virtualbox" (note the period in the name).
