Yes, there is.
You should seriously consider doing a full disk image of your entire host disk. These resets can go south and leave you with a dead computer. Macrium Reflect Free is good for Windows computers.
Virtualbox stores its main settings and guest list by default in "C:\Users\{you}\.Virtualbox". Back up the .Virtualbox folder.
You also need to back up the guests. These go by default in "C:\Users\{you}\Virtualbox VMs". Back up "Virtualbox VMs". If you have placed the guest disks in other folders, these need to be backed up too.
After the host OS is reset, copy these folders back to their original places if they were not preserved through the reset.

If RESET WINDOWS 10
preserve the .VirtualBox/
Normally VMs should appear after a VirtualBox fresh install?

You've summarized the suggestion too much. You might have data or guest loss if you only do what you have posted.
