Hi,

I'm getting a BSOD when waking up a Windows 10 Pro machine from sleep mode with the lastest version of VirtualBox (6.1.14-140239) installed. The BSOD stop code is 'IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL'.

I'm am running Windows 10 Pro 2004, OS build 19041.450

The BSOD does not occur with VirtualBox uninstalled.

Any suggestions or solutions?

Thanks

SD

Is there anything else I need to post here? I didn't post any VBoxHardening logs as I'm not getting any errors starting any VM's. The BSOD happens when I simply install VirtualBox. It
does not occur when I uninstall it.

Thank you.

My post is clearly getting ignored here...

For anybody else, I did more investigation into this error which can be found here:

I have since updated my wireless & Ethernet network adapter drivers and fingers crossed, no BSOD on wake

so far....

I did another sleep/wake cycle and on wake, I unfortunately got another BSOD. This time it was 'Kernel Security Check Failure'

I had VirtualBox installed when this happened.

I then uninstalled VirtualBox and ran another 3-4 sleep/wake cycles and no BSOD's.

So it's certainly must be something with VirtualBox that it still doesn't like.

Can I get some feedback on this please!!?

Thank you.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, but no one is ignoring your posts. This forum is run by volunteer free Virtualbox users like yourself, and everyone has to wait until a fellow free Virtualbox user who knows the answer and has time to post comes along.

I have seen your posts from the beginning but I cannot offer a solid suggestion, as I do not let my host sleep while a guest is running.

If this is the physical PC that is BSODing, try reinstalling Virtualbox without the optional settings, (I think they are Bridged networking and USB). If the host stops BSODing, reinstall again with each option added one at a time, and trying the host. If the host starts BSODing after an option is installed, then that part of the host & Virtualbox are clashing. If the BSODs never stop, then there could be other sources. If the BSODs completely stop, sometimes coexistence can be achieved.
