Ubuntu finds errors in installation .iso, then hangs

I'm trying to install Ubuntu 20.04 in a virtual machine, but it seems VirtualBox is having issues reading the .iso. When booting, Ubuntu (or grub, or whatever, IDK) reports "Check finished: errors found in 1 files!", then hangs.
I downloaded "ubuntu-20.04.1-desktop-amd64.iso" off of Ubuntu's website, and confirmed (via 7-Zip's utilities) that it has a sha256 of "B45165ED3CD437B9FFAD02A2AAD22A4DDC69162470E2622982889CE5826F6E3D", which is what Ubuntu's website says it should be. Thus, the .iso file I am booting from isn't corrupted.
I also "burned" the image to a flash drive, and booted from said flash drive (non-EFI) on an unrelated physical computer, and that produced the expected "Check finished: No errors found", so I'm fully convinced the .iso file is fine.
I have attached log files.
