Good Morning Experts,
I am having this as a continuous issue. I am using VBox 6.1.12 r139181 (Qt5.6.2) on windows 10 as a host. Every now and then my virtual machine fails to start and gave me an error as attached.
The only solution for me is to uninstall Virtual box manager and re-install it again. Once re-install it may work for few days and then the same error. I use to have the same VM on windows 7 host and I cannot remember when did I have the problem with that. It was so smooth. Since I have windows 10 as on host machine, my VM didn't work as it should. Would somebody gives me his/her expert advice to resolve this issue.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Manoj

Re: Error in Starting up Virtual Machine on Windows 10 host
See Diagnosing VirtualBox Hardening Issues.
You have an exit code 1, see the 3rd and 4th posts, especially the thoughts about the nanny web-safe software. Trusteer Rapport and HP ProtectTools also cause the trouble.
You have Kaspersky Internet Security installed. This may be a cause of the trouble too. Malwarebytes is also installed.
Temporarily uninstall all extra non-Windows antivirus, then reboot the host. Try Virtualbox , see if it starts. If so, reinstall each extra AV program, one at a time, reboot, then try Virtualbox again, Rinse and repeat until Virtualbox stops working. The last program that was installed before Virtualbox stopped working is the culprit.

Re: Error in Starting up Virtual Machine on Windows 10 host
Thanks Scott,
This is my company's laptop and I have to take permission from IT to uninstall any AV. The problem I am facing is not that straight forward. After uninstalling and installing VM, it works for few days. The error I am having is not straight way. I have to wait for few days to see the impact of AV installed and then make a decision if this is the cause or not. I will keep you posted here about my progress .
Thanks again for your advice,
Regards
Manoj

Sounds good, we'll be here.
BTW, if you need Virtualbox for work, tell your boss about the problem and how it's causing trouble. The boss wants work done, they'll probably go to bat for you with IT.

Re: Error in Starting up Virtual Machine on Windows 10 host
Hi Scott,
Finally the IT of the company acted and have added the VM as trusted application in kaspersky. Hopefully that should be the end of the problem. This is going to be wait and watch game for a while. Will be in touch back again if this was the resolution of the issue.
Thanks
Manoj
