Salve, gentilmente chiedo se qualcuno ha avuto il mio stesso problema non posso più disinstallare VBOX v6.16 e neanche installare la nuova versione, e non ho intenzione di formattare il pc, mi manca il file (.MSI), non mi era mai capitato una situazione del genere, il file lo scaricato dal sito vbox, non riesco più ha trovarlo ne qua ne nel mio PC, di solito sono sempre (.EXE) come mi sono trovato con questo file MSI non lo so, chiedo gentilmente se qualche esperto esperto mi può aiutare.

The easiest way would be to get the 6.1.6 installer for Windows from https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Download_Old_Builds_6_1 and install it over your installation.
After that the .msi will be available again when updating to the current version.

Salve, grazie per aver risposto ma il file che devo scaricare e (.EXE) avevo già provato ma niente da fare mi serve il (.MSI)per disinstallare, oppure nel momento in cui faccio installa ma con errore, si va ha creare il file .MSI? non capisco.

You can also extract the .MSI out of the 6.1.6 installer .EXE. Web-search:

extract msi from exe

Several websites tell how to do this. Then when your computer asks for the .MSI, you can browse to the extracted .MSI file.

Salve, Scottgus¹, ho provato di tutto anche ad estrallo con 7Zip ma non ce il file (.MSI) non sono alle prime armi, se lei mi sa indicare dove trovare il file, se no mi tocca ho formattare oppure usare la virtuale di WINDOWS se non ce una soluzione va bene cosi, comunque uso windows10 pro, e questo file lo scaricato dal VIRTUALBOX come mai non ce più? saluti.

FWIW a missing MSI is a Windows problem, not a Virtualbox problem. Any installer that works with the MSI system in Windows can have the same problem and need the same fix.

Mi scusi ma quando ho scaricato ed ho installato vb era come estensione. MSI, quindi non e possibile che non esiste piu
dal sito vb, quindi li ho provati tutte ma nessuno mi ha dato una risposta definitiva, per quando riguarda che e un problema di win10 che cosa devo fare? grazie.

Ti sei espresso male mi devo fermare nell' installazione e cosi si crea il file MSI lo cerco in win tempo e disistallo comunque grazie

I have to stop in the installation and so the MSI file is created I look for it in win time and uninstall it
