I'm having a problem running Manjaro in virtualbox. It's a tiny ---- window where i can't see anything. How do i make it as big as my screen (4k)?

Try installing the Guest Additions in the guest OS.

"Insert Guest Additions CD image" ... wait for it ... inserts the GAs CD image. It does nothing else.

The CD image goes in the guest's CD drive. You have to open the guest's CD drive and start the appropriate installer if your guest OS does not Autorun the "CD".

I would like to know how to do that on Manjaro.

It seems to run at the resolution of his screen as soon as it installed, how does that work exactly? For me it continued being a tiny ---- window.

I've not figured out how to install Guest Additions in Linux yet. I got it to work in Ubuntu 2004, can't get the installer to run in Ubuntu Budgie. I'll post again shortly.

Well it is strange since i'm running the exact same OS.

I fixed it by reinstalling and using the exact same settings as in the video from the installation. Probably either giving it 128 mb video ram from the beginning or labelling it an arch linux distro in the settings probably made the difference.

Here's how I installed Guest Additions in Ubuntu 2004. Perhaps a similar process for Manjaro. I got this info from the Virtualbox manual, and some web-searching:

In a terminal window, I ran:
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-generic

Once that completed, I "Inserted the Guest Additions CD Image". Ubuntu asked if I wanted to run the Autorun script. I did so and the Guest Additions installed. I rebooted the guest and had shared clipboard and full-screen available.

On Ubuntu Budgie (1910?) I ran the headers command, inserted the GAs image,Budgie did not ask for the Autorun. The CD window in the guest file manager had a banner asking if I wanted to autorun the CD, I clicked yes, but the Autorun script did nothing. There may be some command-line wizardry to run the installer script, haven't figured it out yet.

Sounds like you got things running, good! Perhaps your video RAM being too low did not allow the guest to calculate to 4K size.
