Does virtualbox have any limitation on how big the resolution can be? My virtualbox Window is at around 1680x1000 resolution and i cant get it to get any higher resolution.

My main monitor screen is at 3440 x 1440, and the current 1680x1000 im getting on virtual box is really small

Video RAM (max 256MB with 3D acceleration enabled) may limit maximum resolution, if your host resolution is larger than the guest (as yours is).

Guest Additions should be installed in the guest, then you can try Full-Screen.

There is a maximum guest screen size setting in the main Virtualbox window's File menu, Preferences, Display.

The Video Memory shouldn't be the limit (around 62 MB should be enough according to my own calculation). You can move the slider to see where the green area starts, which is the minimum amount of Video Memory that VirtualBox wants to have. You can also try setting the Scale Factor to 200%.
