Hello. I am very new to VM's and Oracle, so this has been a struggle to say the least. Right now I am a bit stuck, I am trying to install guest additions by running VBoxWindowsAdditions.exe in the DVD Drive, however I cannot get the install to complete (see attached image). I cannot find this error anywhere else. The reason I am trying this in the first place is to file transfer from my host Windows 10 to the virtual Windows 2000 I am running. Is there a way to bypass the whole install process, and if not, does anyone have some insight as to how to fix this error?

The screenshot of the Guest Additions installer appears to be running on Windows 10 (the host) not Windows 2000 (the guest).

Guest Additions gets installed inside the guest OS, not on the host. (otherwise they'd be called Host Additions )

Haha I said I was new to this, my bad !! So to run it inside Windows 2000, how should I do that?

In the 2000 guest's Virtualbox window, the menu bar has a Devices menu. Click Devices, then Insert Guest Additions CD Image. This puts the Guest Additions 'CD' in the 2000 guest's CD drive. Then run the installer from he guest's CD drive.

You will probably find that the installation starts automatically as soon as you attach the CD.
