Networking issues with Fedora8

Hi,

I have installed Fedora 8 on virtualbox, which is running on windows vista.
I have followed the steps in the virtualbox documentation and configured it in "Host Interface Network" configuration. But the Fedora8 is not getting IP. when i saw the interface list, there is no virtual adaptor at all.

I did the same for Ubuntu (which is running on the same host). With Ubuntu everything is fine. I was able to communicate from my guest to host os and viceversa.

Is there any known issues with Fedora8?

Did you create a Host Interface for the machine and attach it? This should be done for the Ubuntu too. What settings do both Guests have?

yeah. I have created two seperate interfaces (one for Ubuntu and the other for Fedora), and attached it (In the vbox network settings i have attached the respective interface for each guest).

Again, what are the exact settings. Any configuration that might be different? Does Fedora have the proper modules/drivers for the interface? What does lshw -C network say on the Fedora system?
