My experience with Win 10
Started VM – start XP Error messages.
Upgraded to latest VM 6.1.12
Same error message
From advice here removed Trusteer and reboot Win10 host.
Re installed XP – Genuine version
In the VM browsed to a folder on Win10 host and set up the shared folder but cannot access it as it doesn’t show up in the XP VM
Also USB stick doesn’t show up in the XP VM
I would appreciate any help as it used to work before the reinstalls.

Re: Cannot share folders with Win10 host to XPVM
Guest Additions are required in the guest OS to use Virtualbox's shared folders.
If you believe that you have already installed the Guest Additions in the XP guest, please provide a vbox.log:
Start the guest from full power off, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the guest from within the guest OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the guest with the Power Off option set.
Please right-click the guest in the main Virtualbox window's guest list, choose Show Log. Save the far left tab's log, zip the log file, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.
Regarding the USB stick, go through USB basics and troubleshooting. If you have any trouble, please make a new topic: "One issue per thread"

Re: Cannot share folders with Win10 host to XPVM
Have you installed the VirtualBox Guest Additions in the XP Guest. They are essential if you want the VM ro recognise shared folders.
As far as 'seeing' USB Memory Sticks, my guess is that you are using USB 3, which XP doesn't understand natively. If that's correct, then have a look at this 'How to' guide: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=74575 However, if that's not the problem then please submit a copy of the most recent VBox.Log for the Virtual Machine and hopefully it will be possible to identify what is causing your problem. Please zip the logs and upload it using the 'Upload attachment' Tab at bottom the message reply screeen.
Edit: scottgus1 obviously types faster tan me
