Hi All,
I have been using Linux Mint on virtual box from almost 3-4 months, and I had not problems at all. All of a sudden today, when I closed and re-started my VM, I started facing this issue.

The checks proceed, I see Linux Mint icon on the screen of VM, and then after a few seconds, I see black blank screen with '_' character. I have attached the logs. Hope to get some help for my problem.

The log file does not end, meaning it was taken while the guest window was still open. A log after the guest window has closed has more diagnostic data.

To my eyes the log does not show anything wrong. The host's 'virtualization technology' is working well. The guest OS boots and shows Guest Additions, meaning the OS is running.

I think Virtualbox is running and the problem is inside the guest OS itself. I recall vaguely that a Linux OS that has run out of disk space might boot but show only a cursor line. Seems the Linux desktop environment crashed. Troubleshoot as if Mint was installed on a real computer and see what the Mint forums have to say.
