Herro,

Ok, I'm running Sun xVM VirtualBox on a 32bit Win Vista i have 1TB of space on this machine and about 2GB of ram...
(I don't know if this is the current version but it says 1.6.6)

Questions
"I am running winxp professional inside the box."

Ok, So, do i need a firewall inside the Virtual Box if i have one on my vista?
Also, i have set up 45GB Of HD For the virtual machine... if i want to add another Hard Drive Space how do i go about doing this?

Also, Why is it when i have 220MB Ram dedicated to the virtual machine it runs much smoother and faster when i choose 512MB Ram?
...

I'll think of more questions...

Welcome to our forum. You might want to take this opportunity to browse the Forum Posting Guide. This contains some useful tips on how to search for VBox knowledge and how to frame Qs.

If you run NAT then you route your traffic through the VirtualBox process which runs the VM. A second Firewall is redundant. If you run a bridged network then you should consider maintaining a guest firewall.

Sorry but this is just a Q of reading the manual. From the VBox GUI, you can edit the properties of your VM, add a second hdd which throughs you into the Disk Manager. Form here you can create a second hdd. Don't forget that as when you add a real second disk, you still need to go through the admin menu to the XP Disk Manager to allocate and format the partitions, etc.

The only reason for this is if you where starting to cause Vista to page fault. Such is Vista :(
