After upgrading to LinuxMint20 Cinnamon, from 19.3, my Oracle Virtual box was auto uninstalled.

I did not want the repo version so with some help managed to get the latest 6.1.10 running

it picked up all my previously setup Vm's perfecty, but the guest additions was not running as my screen on my WIn10 guest was not full screen or scaled etc.

In Virtual box, I went to the Devices menu and inserted the guest additions cd.

The prompt came up in my Win10 host to install the Guest Additions, whicj I did but the install failed see the below screenshot:

Try uninstalling the existing Guest Additions, reboot the guest, then install the new GAs.

Scottgus1 I did just that but it made no difference.

I also scrutinised the logfile which was also of little help.

I then picked up that the guestadditions installation required a minimum of 256mb for the graphics allocation.

When I closed my vm, and adjusted the video memory, the guest additions installation went like a hot knife through butter.

That seems strange. I wonder if you had 3D acceleration on? Never heard of guest video memory being a limiting factor in GAs installation.

Glad you got them running!

Yep its at the 3D acceleration, that I saw the required 256mb limitation
