Error when opening windows in virtualbox

I am restoring one windows VM through virtualbox.
but keep getting this error - failed to open due to permission

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine

Failed to open image 'D\virtualbox VM\snapshots.xxxx.vdi' for writing due to wrong permissions {VERR_VD_IMAGE_READ_ONLY}.
failed to attach driver below us! image is read-only.

PIIX3 cannot attach drive to the Prmary Master

what can i do ?

Restoring it from where? How are you trying to restore it?

i m restoring from storagecraft backup.
previously i dont have issue.
once restored, i can launched the VM in virtualbox to recover my VM.
i tried re-installing my virtualbox, but it does not un-install completely.
