Exactly what is the message? I installed Mint Linux on a Windows 10 host just a few days ago with no problems.

The attachment Mint20.PNG is no longer available

i cant get my controller to be seen by the vm, and i think it is the fault of virtual box. do you know how to fix that.

also, as a side note, do you know why if you set virtualbox to Ubuntu 32bit it breaks the vm, but is perfectly fine running a 32bit os in 64bit mode?

also, just incase you needed it, here are two of my three mint vms running. if i used my third, i would have -4 rams left.

The screenshot is very fuzzy and unreadable.

Show us exactly what happens that makes you think this. Clear screenshot, text of an error message, etc.

Also, Right-click the guest in the main Virtualbox window's guest list, choose Show in Explorer. Zip the guest's .vbox file, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.

im sorry about the posts i made yesterday. i was frustrated by alot of this going on, in addition to getting less than on hour of sleep.

i am going to start over, since i feel i did a very bad job explaining what my problem is.

from the start. i am trying to sandbox AM2R using a vm of linux mint 18.3. i want to use a controller, and the one i have is a wii u pro controller that i am using a Magic NS to make my computer think it is an xbox 360 controller. it has 2 PC modes, both of which i have tried and gotten the message in the screen shot below. i think this is an issue with virtualbox, because i have seen people post about similar issues before, and i am wondering if there is some way to make virtualbox make the vm know there is a controller. if this is not the case, i will move on to the mint forums, as it is then an issue with something else.

Here on the forums, a 'controller' is far more likely to be thought as a disk controller. Not a game controller. Unless you tell us it's a game controller you're inquiring about.

When you make posts please be specific about things others need to understand clearly. Like what "sandbox AM2R" and "Magic NS" mean. The only way we can help you is if we understand you.

For USB devices, see USB basics and troubleshooting.

Glad you got your game controller working!
