VB 6.1.10 on Windows 10 host with Intel wireless AC 8260. VM: Ubuntu 20.04 server.
Setup bridge network; use wireless card real MAC. Network works.
The problem: when the host wakes up from sleep, the vm loses its network. No IP address for the NIC in ubuntu. If restart netplan I can see the IP address. But the network still doesn't work. The only remedy is to restart the vm.
Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Lost network on wakeup with wireless adapter
Is this a program in the guest?xmk wrote:If restart netplan
Though I am not sure I personally know how to solve this, someone who does would need a log of the full sequence: Host bootup, guest bootup, guest has good network, host sleeps, host awakens, guest has failed network, restart netplan, guest gets ip but no network, reboot guest, guest gets good network again, shut down guest using guest's shutdown button, zip and post vbox.log.
After running the above sequence, please right-click the guest in the main Virtualbox window's guest list, choose Show Log. Save the far left tab's log, zip the log file, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.

Host: Windows 10, VB 6.1.10
Guest: Ubuntu 20.04 server
The only change I made after creating the vm is to set up static IP. The networks fine.
Test 1: put the host to sleep for less a minute. After Windows wakes up, the vm networks works fine. Host can ping vm.
Test2: put the host to sleep overnight. After Windows wakes up, host can't ping vm anymore. The ip is unreachable. Use "netplan apply" in vm does not solve the problem.
Test3: reboot the vm. Still no network. Network is back.
Test4: shutdown the vm and restart.
The vb log files are attached.
Thanks,
