I have just installed Kali onto VirtualBox 6.1

The login page loads and I entered the username and password that I set up during installation. However, it says that the password is incorrect.
I have also tried username: root and password: toor, aswell as username: kali and password: kali.

I cannot find any solution to this. Please help if you can. Thanks

If the Virtualbox window is open and the guest OS is relating messages that the guest OS normally shows, then everything is working, and you must troubleshoot the problem directly with the guest OS itself through that OS's help channels.

Not knowing the password is not something that the Virtualbox forum can help with.

It is possible that you set the guest OS to interpret keyboard presses in a different language or setting than the keyboard you have. For example, a US English keyboard and the guest OS is set to Chinese. The guest OS will interpret keys wrong if you set up a password using keystrokes representing English.

Fixing this involves either starting over with a fresh new install or asking Kali's forums or FAQs how to fix it.
