The I/O cache encountered an error while updating data in medium (rc=VERR_UNRESOLVED_ERROR)

Good morning, people.
I have an important virtual machine for my work activities that recently failed due to a problem related to the available hard disk space of the host system (Microsoft Windows).
When this error occurred, these are the steps I followed:
1.- I proceeded to pause the virtual machine and saved its status.
2.- Release enough space on the host hard disk, about 40 gb.
3.- I start the virtual machine and now I am getting this error:
The I/O cache encountered an error while updating data in medium "ahci-0-0" (rc=VERR_UNRESOLVED_ERROR). Make sure there is enough free space on the disk and that the disk is working properly. Operation can be resumed afterwards.
I have tried to search the Internet for a solution to continue using the virtual machine. I have Virtualbox version 5.2.18 and on the host operating system Microsoft Windows 7.
Anyone who has a procedure to follow to recover this virtual machine.
Best regards.
