In the VM settings, the item "Nested VT-x / AMD-v" is inactive.
Hardware virtualization does not work, although the task manager indicates that it is enabled.
Also other programs like "LeoMoon CPU-V" confirm this.
Host - Windows 10 (1909) x64
Guest - XenServer 7.4.0 x64
Processor: Intel i5-35550
In the BIOS settings, the item "Virtualization Technology" is enabled.
In Windows components, Hyper-V is disabled.
At the same time, VM-ware works fine, but it does not suit me.

When installing XenServer, it warns that hardware virtualization is not working.
If you finish installing XenServer and then install WIndows 7 on it, then when you try to start the Windows 7 x64 virtual machine inside XenServer, it writes: "HVM is Required for this Operation"

Re: How to enable "Nested VT-x / AMD-v"
On the contrary, the log shows that it's working perfectly. However this has nothing to do with providing nested virtualization.Caeles-Lupus wrote: Hardware virtualization does not work, although the task manager indicates that it is enabled.
I think your problem is that your processor is too old. The 6.1.0 announcement says that the nested VT-x feature requires 5th generation core i "Broadwell", whereas yours is 3rd generation "Ivy Bridge" (i5-3550).VBox.log wrote: 00:00:03.699267 HM: HMR3Init: VT-x w/ nested paging and unrestricted guest execution hw support

So the matter is in the processor. Then there's nothing to be done.
This was a task from the teacher. I’ll tell him that my computer is too old and it’s not my fault.
Thanks again.
