Occasionally (about 1 in 10) one of my VMs will crash when it is powered down, it always seems to be the same error to do with DSound. It's running CentOS 8.1, I don't run the other VMs enough to know if they also suffer from this problem.

I've attached a log from one of the crashes.

VBox.log file wrote:14:20:10.609650 DSound: Starting to capture failed with ERROR_CALL_NOT_IMPLEMENTED 0x88780078

I've seen that line and the crash following it in another thread, but we didn't find a real solution, only the workaround not to use audio in the guest. If you're really dedicated, you can read all about it in Crash on pause.
