Seamless Mode Acting incorrectly

Post by Iteria »

I'm running this on Ubuntu 8.04. I have a Windows XP SP2 running in the VM. Whenever I enter seamless mode the screen turns completely black except for the windows start bar.

if I click the start button it the screen will clear up and show my panels and desktop from ubuntu. If I click the start button again to make the start menu go away the screen will go black again.

If I launch a windows program it will work fine until I minimize that program.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Which version of VB and additions? Please use the latest version and try again. Some people seem to require at least one window open for Seamless to work correctly.

it's version 2.0.2.

It's a quirk i suppose. I'll just have to keep a window open in the VM and minimize the VM when it's not in use.

There was someone here who posted a 'hack' for that. A 1 pixel large VB written app just for this kind of thing. If you search good enough, I'm sure you can find it.
