Recent Windows 10 update broke USB

Hi all

I'm running VirtualBox 6.1.8 on a Windows 10 1909 host. I noticed that a recent update disabled USB functionality. (I'm using USB3 via the extension pack.) The breakage manifests as being unable to attach any USB device at all either using the filter or the dropdown menu.

I've got it working again by uninstalling KB4556799 and KB4501374, I'm not sure which is the culprit. Things seem fine now for me.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I've attached a couple of the VBoxSVC logs.

VBoxSVC.log.3 is an example of things broken. Here I was using the filter with all the fields cleared as suggested in the Wiki.
VBoxSVC.log is an example of things working again.
Unfortunately I'm not expert enough to see what message is key between these two other than what appears to be a permissions error.

Thanks
Alex

I have this problem on my work machine. I installed VirtualBox on my home machine and it works fine. I am running KB4560960. Hoping the next update on my work machine resolves the issue! Glad to see this out here!! i9 am hopeful that my work machine will work again after Patch Tuesday - though my admin said they also broke Virtual Box and it's fixed now. So, i'm going to try reinstalling it (i have to do it through Software Center). Hopefully if you patch Windows 10 - it will work for you. Thanks again!
