I have been using VirtualBox for quite some time but I needed to reinstall Windows 2000.

I have reinstalled and downloaded the latest version of VirtualBox and can't install it as it says "This application only runs on Windows XP or above".

I have tried the older versions available on the site and these also say the same error message.

I have not read anywhere that Windows 2000 support has been removed. This is quite a big shock and a huge problem.

Why is is saying this - I have several virtual machines that I can no longer access!

I hope someone can help?

Since 1.6.0, Windows 2000 is no longer supported. The reason for this is the new processor technologies like Virtualisation and other functions and features that are not possible on 2000. Sorry, but you're stuck for 1.5.6. You can download it from this site: http://www.virtualbox.org/download/
