Hi, so I'm doing a linux course through udemy right now. it had me download Oracle VM and then Cent OS7 after that. I am currently attempting to find my IP address in the VM in order to put it into Putty. In order to do this I am being instructed to change the network from NAT to Host Only Adapter. When i attempt to do this there is nothing for me to select. When i close Cent OS7 and attempt to add a Host Only Network through the settings I am told i dont have a Host Network Adapter Driver. Im not sure what to do. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thankyou.

See
Virtualbox Networks: In Pictures: Host-Only Adapter
The Host-Only network system is put on the host PC during Virtualbox installation, and there is an option to not install the drivers needed for Host-Only. Did you uncheck the Host-Only option during install?
On Windows hosts it often helps to run the Virtualbox installer with right-click-Run-As-Administrator. Try the reinstall this way, and be sure Host-Only (and Bridged) are checked.
If Host-Only is installed properly, you might see or be able to make a new Host-Only network on the main Virtualbox window's File menu, Host Network Manager.
Also you should see the Host-Only adapter(s) in the list of network adapters on the host PC. The properties of the Host-Only and other physical network adapters should show 'Virtualbox NDIS Bridged Networking Driver' in the list of checked items:

Thank you so much for the feedback, I really appreciate it. I have another issue now that I have access to the host only adapter. Now I am attempting to find the IP address of the host only network I believe, in order to put it into a putty. In the video he goes root and then enters the command for connection and from there he is able to ascertain the IP address. When i attempt to go root, first off I dont know what the password is. Also when I type in the same command he does It says that this user doesnt have access or something along the lines of that. Anny suggestions?

We won't be able to help with passwords, check the OS help channels for that.

What command is he using?
You can determine the IP range of the Host-Only network by investigating the Host-Only settings in the main Virtualbox window's File menu, Host Network Manager.
If you're supposed to find the IP address using the command then you need to study the command he's using. If the command does not have a 'vboxmanage' in it then helping with that command is also probably outside the forum's scope. If you can ping, then the Virtualbox network is working, and whatever else needs to be done is beyond our range of help.

Also, keep in mind that the Host-Only adapter is extremely likely a different IP range than the host PC's usual LAN.

the command we are using is ifup enp0s3, when i do that this message pops up "connection activation failed: No suitable device found for this connection (device enp0s3 not available because device has no carrier)"

is not a Virtualbox command, and it is beyond the scope of this forum to help with it. Whatever it does, it strongly implies that there is an 'enp0s3' present and that it should be able to connect to or through it.
You need to determine how your guest OS is enumerating its network adapters. If you have more than one newtork adapter active in the guest's Network Settings, then your guest may not be enumerating the Host-Only adapter as 'enp0s3'.
Additionally, the success of that command is quite likely dependent on whether you're typing it on the host or the guest. If it is a Windows host, then Windows does not call its network adapters 'enp0s#', nor is there an 'ifup' in the Windows command list.
What did you discover when you saw this:

An 'ipconfig /all' on the host, or an 'ifconfig' on the guest, or both, might help too.

I'm typing the commands in the guest OS. Inside the virtual box in Cent OS7.
