Win10 Guest runs out of processor capacity

I'm slightly frustrated.
My new install WIN10 guest is hanging up.
(I'm running a Linux Mint Host, installed on a HP Z book i7 with 4 CPU's and 16gb ram) the win 10 VM has 2 CPU's and 8gb ram allocated to it.
As a newbie, I constantly keep my eye on the Windows taskmananger and the system Monitor in Linux
When I look at my windows task manager, then the processor is often reaching high %'s .
One in particular is Virtual box Guest additions service...from time to time its reaching 50% of my processor.
2nd issue is I've allocated 8 gb ram to the Windows 10VM, and according to windows taskmaster its only using 2gb thereof?
Any guidance please
