Running multiple VM's on headless server

Can anyone explain in simple terms how I run multiple VM's in Hardy headless server.

I can follow the VBoxManage commands create VM's & looking at previous postings it would appear that I should be able to start several VM's at the same time. However I want to control/start each VM seperately - Is this possble??

I want each VM to have a static IP which seems I need to run HIF with a tap?? is this correct

All help gratefully appreciated so I can get away from GUI's

Server is amd 64 dual core with 4Gb RAm Ubuntu 8.0.4 & possibly VB 2.02

I believe markba has posted a script to help manage multiple VMs. Since VMs are uniquely identified by UUID, multiple VMs are fine.

Thanks for the response - I'll go and search that out, but do you think it will enable me to start/stop vm's on an individual basis??

I think markba has done his homework correctly. If not, it's open source and you can modify it.
