VirtualBox impacts volume level on Parent system Win 10

Post by Camo »

Hi, I have little annoying problem with volume level on parent system while VirtualBox is running (Win 10). Commonly volume is about 20 but id VB is running is has to be over 60. I don t understand why. Can somebody tell me how to fix it? Thank you.

There's no way for a VM to affect physical hardware except through normal host OS APIs, so this has to be an oddity of your host, for example some strange mixer volume setting. Right click the Volume icon in your host taskbar notification area and select Volume Mixer. Find out which mix component is responsible for the volume you don't like.
