Windows 7 blue screen during install procedure

Hi. I have finally been able to get Virtualbox installed and running, have created a Virtual machine. Tried to install Windows 7 64 bit, all goes well until the point where the VM tries to reboot to finalise the installation, all I get is the following blue screen, and I have no idea what settings I need to change to try and get past this.
I am running windows 10 64bit, as the host PC.

If you have the xHCI USB3 enabled, switch to USB2. Windows 7 does not natively understand USB3.
Also, if you are trying to have a USB device inserted into the guest while installing, don't. Let the install happen first.
Otherwise, please zip and post the guest's vbox.log and .vbox files, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.

Ok, have been trying to replicate, or get past the problem. What happens now is that I no longer get the blue screen. But install keeps failing.
The various methods I have tried are
1. ISO file on USB stick - VB reads ISO file, starts install of win7, but keeps saying can't complete installation
2. ISO file on Host PC drive - Same error
3. Using Windows USB Tool to create bootable install disk on USB drive - VB doesn't even recognize the Setup.exe file to run install
I have been deleteing and recreating the VM each time, with basic settings
Memory I set as 4096MB, Drive space I use around 100GB, USB is set to 2.0. Storage Sata Port 0 is set to the VDI file, Port 1 is set to optical drive and attached to the ISO file
Apart from that I don't change any other of the settings from the default.

Just tried installing with the following options
Iso file on Host drive
no USB
This time I got the blue screen - but instead of the problem being the USB, it now says BAD_POOL_HEADER

1 & 2 may be the same cause, a vbox.log might tell us. 3 is expected: Virtualbox cannot boot a guest from a USB installer drive.
Start the guest from full normal shutdown, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the guest from within the guest OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the guest with the Power Off option set.
Right-click the guest in the main Virtualbox window's guest list, choose Show Log. Save the far left tab's log, zip it, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.

Your log contains these lines:
{timestamp} HM: HMR3Init: Attempting fall back to NEM: AMD-V is not available
{timestamp} NEM: WHvCapabilityCodeHypervisorPresent is TRUE, so this might work...
You might notice in the guest window's Status Bar the green turtle:

The choice of animal is appropriate: Your guest is running, just really slow. This is because a service that uses Microsoft Hyper-V is running on your host PC. Normally Hyper-V blocks Virtualbox. But your PC is of the type and OS where Virtualbox can attempt to run the guest using the Hyper-V engine. This arrangement is still being developed and isn't 100% yet.
If VirtualBox is running without Hyper-V enabled, and nothing else is interfering with hardware virtualization (VT-x / AMD-V), then the usual virtualization icon (

) will be seen in the Status Bar.
To turn Hyper-V off completely, do this:
1. Shut down all programs. You will have to reboot your host.
2. See
I have a 64bit host, but can't install 64bit guests. This tutorial has a couple more things to look for in step 2. Be sure these are all turned off.
3. Find the Command Prompt icon, right click it and choose Run As Administrator.
4. Enter this command:
bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off
5. Enter this command:
shutdown -s -t 2
6. When the computer turns off, unplug it for 20 seconds. Then plug it in again and boot up Windows 10.
If your Virtualbox does not start successfully, zip and post another vbox.log. For further info, see
