My windows 10 system reboot randomly after installing Virtual box 6.1.6. This happens even if the virtual box and any of the VMs are not up and running. Tried installing virtual box extension pack also.

System: Windows 10 Pro 1909
Virtual box 6.1.6
Error in windows event viewer
Event 12, The driver detected an internal driver error on \Device\VBoxNetLwf

Please help.

The Event 12 VBoxNetLwf error is not related to the BSODs, see this topic: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=87971 It's a long and extensive discussion, but users like myself and forum gurus reported having this error all the time and no BSODs. I just re-filtered my System log and found this same error still in my logs this month and no BSODs for over two years.

Troubleshoot the BSODs as a normal BSOD, google for how. It could be cause by a failed Virtualbox install, or by a driver that is not working with Virtualbox correctly. An uninstall of Virtualbox, reboot, and re-install using right-click-Run-As-Administrator even if you already are an administrator might help. Also look into updating network drivers.
