Windows 10 2004 + WSL 2 enabled breaks VBox?

Hi guys

I use latest 6.1.6 vbox and upgraded to latest Win 10 preview 2004 and followed
wsl2 install page
which did:

dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:Microsoft-Windows-Subsystem-Linux /all /norestart
dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:VirtualMachinePlatform /all /norestart

and after that (second command it seems, but it might be the upgrade as well) my LUbuntu VM is not working as it was and there are frequent crashes, etc.
I tried booting and installing a new LUbuntu box again with weird errors and failures that I never seen before.

So I am wondering if 2004 is tested with VBox or if I am missing some fixes that are not released yet

WSL2 is using Hyper-V, since WSL does not. So read the corresponding threads about Hyper-V and VBox.

Here is a tutorial that encapsulates what towo2099 is talking about: I have a 64bit host, but can't install 64bit guests
posts 2 and 3 cover the Hyper-V issue. Hyper-V blocks Virtualbox for now, and anything that uses Hyper-V, like WSL2, will block Virtualbox..

and never look back?

can Virtualbox and hyper-v coexist nicely?

For now, no, hyper-v does not play nicely with any other virtualization platform. VMWare are supposed to have something in the works and Oracle are also working on it for Virtualbox. AFAIK there's no ETA.
