I'm trying to use my usb wifi adapter, Model WT-AC1686 in Kali Linux, when I plug it in after system boot, it catches the device under the usb list, though never switches to wifi connection, and the wlan0 entry does not come up when I enter "ifconfig"
I tried everything in the usb faq list best to my understanding and nothing fixed the problem.
