"The instruction at...referenced memory at....The memory could not be read"

Post by rva1945 »

Hi:

My W10 host hast 12GB and I let the Windows 7 VM as much as 8GB.

I try to run a RC flight simulator (3D acceleration activated) but during initial screen it crashes with that message. The VM crashes as well.

Simply put, I'm lost and I'd appreciate any help.

Start the guest from full power off, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the guest from within the guest OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the guest with the Power Off option set.

Please zip and post a guest vbox.log, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.

Graphics-intensive games do not work well in a virtual environment.

Thanks, I will try it later...once I install a new VM as I completely erased it.

Yes it is a graphics intensive simulator. I know it uses OpenGL, maybe this is the issue?
