"VirtualBox Guest Additions update." Huh?

Howdy - I'm a Mac guy so I know zero, nothing, zilch about Windows, Virtual Box or the IT lingo that is so pervasive on this side of computing. (That's why I stick with Mac - ha ha.) I have a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.15.4 and Virtual Box 6.0.20 r137117 (Qt5 6.3). Once VirtualBox opens I have Windows 7 running (it's the only operating system we can use for our Wide Orbit traffic software - radio station.)
I received an update notice this morning so I downloaded and installed the new Virtual Box update. When I opened it and went into Windows 7, I received a message that says, "VirtualBox Guest Additions update available! Your guest is currently running the Guest Additions version 5.2.22. We recommend updating to the latest version (6.0.20) by choosing the install option from the Devices menu." I have no clue what Guest Additions is or where the devices menu is. (Our IT guy that set us up with Virtual Box is no longer here so I can't ask him either.) Can anyone help? I'm at a total loss what any of this means, but I guess I'm not running the latest versions and I feel like I should be. Thanks very much!
