Post by bscho »

It was running last week but now will not run gives error

Kernel driver not installed (rc=-1908)
The VirtualBox Linux kernel driver is either not loaded or not set up correctly. Please try setting it up again by executing

When you tried "executing '/sbin/vboxconfig' ", what happened?

It just showed the text in the file. When I checked the problem was still there.

I am not a Linux guru, unfortunately, so I would not know what else to do, except to try uninstalling and reinstalling Virtualbox.

Also web-search for things like:

executing /sbin/vboxconfig site:forums.virtualbox.org

I have tried that it is impossible I deleted all the folders and files I just could not remove it at all it is complete mystery how it can still stay in and still is in the menu. I try reinstalling and it keeps saying it cannot as the same still exists.

I run search for virtualbox on the whole file system and I get this
/sys/fs/selinux/booleans/use_virtualbox

I cannot remove it says I have no permissions even using a root folder
I have chmod 777 on it and still it will not be deleted or renamed.

This is the only trace of it in all the files if you have any ideas on removing it I would appreciate it.
