Re: problem installing wiindows 98/7
If this 'amd host' is a regular PC, then word to the wise: this combo is illegal and will cause locked posts if help is asked and bans if it is brought up despite the locks. OSX guests on non-Apple hardwarejohnkar wrote:amd based host.... macosx
Installing 98 has a tutorial viewtopic.php?f=28&t=9918. If you are running Virtualbox 6.1.x and are asked to turn off "enable VT-x/AMD-V" in the System Acceleration tab, you will need to downgrade to 6.0.x or earlier. 6.1.x does not have that option anymore.
The 0xC0000005 error for Windows 7 sounds like it could be a hardening error. If so, please describe your error messages more specifically.
Forum rules are 'one issue one thread'. So we will use this thread to troubleshoot the Windows 7 error, if you wish to troubleshoot it. Please use a new topic for other errors or questions.
