Guest Additions

Post by nypaulie »

My copy of Windows 7 running on VirtualBox using Linux Mint somehow became corrupted so I just installed a new machine (Windows 7). When I click on Devices and slide my pointer down to "Insert Guest Additions CD image..." nothing happens. How can I fix this. I need the guest additions so I can share my folders, etc..

The software updated and then it actually asked me if I wanted to run Guest Additions. I did and all is sweet,

inserting the GAs CD image only loads the GAs ISO into the guest's CD drive. If the guest OS does not autorun the CD then you need to run the installer in the CD manually.

Glad you got the GAs installed!
