How to fix "This Application cannot run under a Virtual Machine" on fedora guest

Hi there,
I have a game (Tibia) that I would like to run on virtual box (since you can't run more than one per pc, and having a laptop open just to press one button each few minutes is kinda waste of energy). Said game is protected by Battleye. I tried using Windows 7 ultimate but I couldn't even connect to the game servers so I tried using Fedora linux. Now the game works up to the point of logging in but then I receive the "This Application cannot run under a Virtual Machine". Is there any way to hide the fact that this is a VM from the game? There were guides on how to do that but they work for windows guests and since I'm a beginner when it comes to Linux, I can't think of anything to fix it.
Thanks in advance.

So you can try and hide such information on windows guest by changing the regedit, etc, but there is no such way for linux that is promoted as more customizable than windows is?

False premise. You can't hide a VM from Windows guest software by fiddling with the registry. That's hilarious. You should unfriend anyone who fed you that bull*****.

Well, i saw some tutorials and videos and some of them seemed to work, atleast for a part of the people who tried it, hence my question. Since the game is not the state of the art technology, I guessed that it might not be that hard to hide it, or even prevent it from checking it in the first place, but if its impossible, then nvm and thanks for help.

I think that you are wasting your time. There are so many easy ways to detect that a program is running in a vm that even a simple program can do it.

The error message tells you that the game has a specific test for detecting VMs. They don't want you using a VM. Now given that, do you really imagine they were so idiotic that they'd choose a test so basic that someone could just turn it off with a registry setting? Really?

I don't know. At first it was only blocked on windows guests. After months they upgraded their block to linux guests too, but it still works on macOS (can't seem to instal this one on my pc). So overall I guess that their VM tests are pretty basic and thats why I asked.
