Hi everyone,

There's a BUG in 6.1.4 with Mouse pointer that disappears.
YES I have read topic 95197 but the bug is still there.

Configuration :

Host: Windows 10 Pro 1909 build 10.0.18363.720 (LATEST)
Guest: Windows 10 Pro 1909 build 10.0.18363.720 (LATEST)
VB 6.1.4 r16177 (LATEST) with VBoxGuestAdditions_6.1.4.iso installed & Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-6.1.4-136177.vbox-extpack installed
Video memory : 256MB, Scale factor 100%, VBoxSVGA 6.1.4.36177 (VDDM) , 3d acceleration : disabled
Microsoft PS/2 Mouse Properties, Detail : VBoxMouse.sys is installed, version 6.1.4.136177

In Windows 10 guest (you have to use the latest version to get the menu), just go to the "Cursor & Pointer" menu.
then select "Change Pointer Size" to a high value like 6
then select "Change Pointer Color" to reverse for instance (3rd option)

Now navigate in Windows and try to resize some columns for instance.

End of demonstration, please fix this bug ASAP, thanks.

Yes, O Master! Anything you desire, O Master!

We are not the developers. This is a user-supported forum, and we, like you, are freeloaders who use free Virtualbox and have no rights to any support, just like you. (Unless you paid the $6100 for which Oracle sells Virtualbox support, and then you wouldn't be here.)

Knock that tone down several notches, or you might find your concern withering on the vine.

There are one or two topics here on the forum in the last couple days about missing cursors and mouse pointers. I don't remember where they are. Read around to find them and try the suggestions if any. And if you have a repeatable process to make the pointer disappear, post it with enough evidence for the developers to repeat it on the Bugtracker.

And I reiterate: the help you might get here on the forum can be encouraged or poisoned by the attitude you express in asking for it.

I think only you feel insulted on this forum after my message, you clearly have a problem with your ego.
I'm a scientist, not a n00b, I make precise demonstrations. Oracle programmers read this forum.
I RTFM, of course, I've been posting articles on Usenet since 1987 when you didn't even know internet existed, Mosaic didn't even exist BTW.
