Dear group,
I am using a Windows 10 HOST and Win7 GUEST.
Attached to the VM (usb filter) a 5ghz Wifi - https://www.ezcast.com/app/ezcast/wifi-adapter/windows
Working on the GUEST there is a random missing signal inside the VM, it required to unplug the USB key
In attach all details

Re: USB Wifi 5GHz disconnection
The log has an extra USB device "0bda:b82c" attaching to the guest at the beginning, and not unplugging during the 25-ish-minute run.
So far no data to indicate a single unplug that I see, much less several.
If the device fails in the guest then requires a replug, that may not be Virtualbox causing the failure. When you have the device working, find it in the guest's Device Manager and check its status. Also run this command on the host's command line:
vboxmanage list usbhost
and save the text output to a text file with a unique name.
When you see the device fail, check the Device Manager again to see what the status is, and run the 'list usbhost' command again, saving that text output too with a different name.
If the device is still in the DM before you unplug it, then Virtualbox would still seem to be working.
Then unplug & replug the device. If it starts again, run the 'list usbhost' command a third time, saving the text file with another name.
Finally shut down the guest after the failed & restored device usage, and get the vbox.log. Zip the log and three text files and post them with Upload Attachment.
Does the device perform well on the host PC? Also you are using xhci USB3. Does the guest OS have drivers installed for USB3? Is your host PC going on standby: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=91967&p=442268#p442268

Re: USB Wifi 5GHz disconnection
Hi,
Yes the USB device is both wifi and Bluetooth adapter.
There was any unplug, seems more an Vbox usb driver issue.
Once started the VM all is fine, during the usage (random) I had the issue.
Yes, sure, driver USB3 was installed, Win 7 required it
Next time I will check usb list
Thanks

Re: USB Wifi 5GHz disconnection
Hi,
I have tested deeper the issue with scenarios using 2 USB devices - WIFI and HDD- connected to the Win 7 GUEST
Before perform test I stored usbhost.txt
1 Download data, with high speed, storing on the USB HDD
During this test I have seen an USB disconnection from the GUEST-- usbhost_after_1_disc.txt
Once reconnected -- no unplug from the HOST -- downloaded was completed
1 Download data, with high speed, storing on the GUEST HDD
During this test I have not seen an USB disconnection, but the Wifi Connection was not available -- No_Wifi.JPG -- usbhost_after_No_Wifi.txt
Without any unplug from the HOST, I have disconnected and reconnected USB Wifi -- downloaded was completed
Normally I work with USB devices, I can confirm there is a sort of limitation on the Vbox Usb driver
Many tx
