Hello i am having a problem I cannot use any of the menus or buttons of the interface of the virtual box.
I have attached some examples of what I am talking about.

I am on a Ubuntu 18.04.4 with kernel 5.3.0-42-generic using virtualbox 6.1 installed via virtualbox apt (I have also tried via download and manual install)
Iam also using gnome 3 with xorg.

Can some one help me on what is causing this and what is the solution?

Looks like the menus aren't appearing for some reason. First confirm that you are running the official Virtualbox from https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads, not the fork that often gets preinstalled by Linux distros. If you are running the forked version, uninstall it and install official Virtualbox. Do the menus appear?

Then try rebooting your host so no Virtualbox processes are running, then move the folder /home/{you}/.config/Virtualbox (just the Virtualbox folder) to your desktop. Start Virtualbox. Do the menus appear now?

Yes I am runnig the official VirtualBox.
I already rebooted mu host.

And I moved the Virtualbox config Folder to My Desktop.

None of the obove worked.

It's good you're running official Virtualbox. The missing menus are unusual. If you clicked where a menu option in the menu ought to be, does anything happen?

If you had Virtualbox on your PC before and upgraded, then if you downgrade do the menus reappear?

Besides a complete uninstall, purge of anything left over, except the guest folder itself, and reinstall, I can't think of anything else. As a suggestion, edit your first post and change the title to "Invisible Menus" or some such to draw someone who might be better able to help.

I did not upgrade it I did a fresh install of Ubuntu 18.04 .4 on my machine.

I already unsinstall purged and removed every file or folder regarding Vbox and reinstall it again via website.
I have installed 6.1, 6.0 and 5.x and every version has the same problem.

Does anyone has the same problem?
