Shared clipboard not working since upgrade to 6.1.4

I have a Linux Mint 19 VM running on Windows 10 x64. After upgrading from Virtualbox 6.1.2 to 6.1.4, and installing the 6.1.4 guest additions on the VM, the shared clipboard is no longer working to copy data in either direction. When I look in the VM log, I see the following:

and I found that a ticket has already been raised for this error at https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/19373, though no indication there of whether that problem is related to the one I am seeing. Any suggestions?
