Re: virtual box failed open a session
(A) You obviously have a Windows host, so your question does not belong in the "Linux Hosts" forum. I will move the topic to "Windows Hosts".
(B) You did not attach the logs. Logs should be zipped to ensure they are small enough to attach.

I have uploaded in the zip format please take a look at it and suggest the solution.

Re: virtual box failed open a session
Looks like you have Kaspersky AV installed, which isn't necessary on a Windows 10 PC. 10 already has good AV built-in. Try uninstalling (not just disable) Kaspersky. If Virtualbox starts running, and you can't imagine life without Kaspersky (
) try reinstalling Kaspersky. Sometimes a reinstall allows coexistence. Set a complete exception in Kaspersky to not scan any Virtualbox executables, folders or guests. If Virtualbox fails to run, then you won't be able to run Virtualbox under Kaspersky.
Also the 'opengl32.dll' file can't be verified. Read the 'exit code 1' section of the tutorial Mpack posted.

Re: virtual box failed open a session
thank you for advice but it seem that uninstalling the AV haven't done the work i also replaced the DLL file you mention but it still gives same error, also i was able to run in headless start before so i don't think it was the AV causing the issue.scottgus1 wrote:Looks like you have Kaspersky AV installed, which isn't necessary on a Windows 10 PC. 10 already has good AV built-in. Re: virtual box failed open a session
AV sometimes doesn't cause trouble, but sometimes it does, so removing it is a good test.
Starting the guest headless is also a good test. Per the tutorial, though in a different exit code section:
All of this may be a bother, but malware does the same things that AV & graphics drivers do, and malware has a tremendously better chance to go whacko on your PC if Virtualbox were an open channel.
Starting the guest headless is also a good test. Per the tutorial, though in a different exit code section:
Try a graphics driver update, or a removal and let Windows drivers load, just to see what happens. If you find that the VM will not start in normal mode, but will start when run in headless mode, then that makes it pretty much certain that your problem is the graphics drivers.

Re: virtual box failed open a session
? That is a weird outcome. I'm not sure I believe it! Unless there was some kind of corruption in a driver file which the reinstall fixed (I'm assuming that disabling equals uninstalling).
