Hi.

My Hostsystem is a Debian Bullseye, Kernel 5.4.0-4. I'm running Virtualbox 6.1.4 r136177 (Qt5.12.5) from the repos. Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-6.1.4.vbox-extpack is installed.

I've been running a windows 10 guest for a while without Problems. Guest Auditions is installed.

I just installed Office 2019. After a restart of the guest the Resolution was broken. Now it doesn't go further than 1280x960 pixels it has been 1920x1080 before.

Purging Virtualbox and reinstalling didn't solve the problem. Reinstalling Guest Auditions within the guest neither.

Can sb help please? :)

Pedantic note: resolution (dots per inch or cm) never changes. The display size is what changes.

Try changing display size using the View|Virtual screen N|Resize to www x hhh options. Doing so should establish the correct aspect ratio, which Windows should then remember when you restart it. Do remember that Windows doesn't understand that monitors with variable aspect ratios can exist, so be careful when manually resizing that you don't confuse it.
