No acces to usb-sticks by Virtualbox

Helo,
I have the newest version of MX Linux (Buster), a fork of Debian/Antix installed on a
MacBook Pro 8.1..
Virtuallbox 6.1.2 with extensionpack 6.1.2 is already implemented in this Linux distro and I have both installed on my Linux host.
Extension options like display options and common folder run fine within Virtualbox, but there is no access for usb-sticks by Virtualbox, no matter driver 1.1, 2.0 or 3.0 is checked.

Are there any ideas for a solution?

I believe the problem is not only v6.1.2, because I just switched to a new machine and had v5 running on the old machine and also couldn't use USB sticks anymore since a week or 2 (at least that's when I found out)

I still have the problem both in windows 10 (even new vboxes) as well as xubuntu 18.4 guest systems.
